This Ramadan, InterContinental Kuala Lumpur invites guests to rediscover the warmth of home through a heartfelt culinary journey titled “Sajian Nana Dulu & Kini.” Running from 23 February to 21 March 2026, the experience celebrates heritage recipes, family traditions and the spirit of togetherness that defines the holy month.
Inspired by dishes lovingly passed down through generations, the campaign pays tribute to “Nana” — the beloved figure at the heart of every family kitchen where traditions are preserved and meals are prepared with care. Through thoughtfully curated dining experiences, stay packages and festive gatherings, the hotel hopes to evoke nostalgia while creating meaningful Ramadan moments for families, friends and colleagues.

According to Matthew Everson, Ramadan is a time for reflection and reconnection. Through Sajian Nana Dulu & Kini and the accompanying Raya Bersama Nana celebrations, the hotel aims to create experiences where food becomes a bridge to cherished memories, family bonds and shared traditions.
A Journey Through Heritage Flavours at Serena Brasserie
At the heart of the celebration is the Sajian Nana Dulu & Kini Iftar Dinner Buffet, available at Serena Brasserie from 23 February to 18 March 2026, between 6:30pm and 10:30pm. The buffet is designed as a thoughtfully paced iftar experience that celebrates classic Malaysian flavours prepared with care and authenticity.
Curated by Rudy Junaidie and his culinary team, the menu features a generous spread of traditional favourites inspired by village recipes and heritage cooking techniques. Guests can also witness a special live cooking demonstration by “Nana,” offering a glimpse into the preparation of time-honoured dishes once shared across generations.
Among the signature highlights are Sup Campur Berempah “Wak Shukur,” an aromatic spice soup simmered with tender meat; Ikan Bakar Melaka, Portuguese-style marinated fish grilled to smoky perfection; Gulai Kering Tetel Kukus Buluh, slow-cooked beef prepared with heritage spices in bamboo; and Ayam Panggang Sambal Belimbing, roasted chicken paired with a tangy house-made belimbing sambal.

Enhancing the buffet experience are live cooking and carving stations featuring indulgent centrepieces such as Afghan Whole Lamb, oven-roasted orange honey glaze chicken galantine and yellow pepper barbecue beef brisket. Guests can also savour traditional Ramadan staples including lemang, ketupat bawang, beef rendang tok, serunding ayam and bubur lambuk, alongside a premium seafood selection featuring fresh tiger prawns, oysters and other seasonal catches.
The Sajian Nana Dulu & Kini buffet is priced at RM288 nett per adult and RM178 nett per child (6–12 years old). Children aged five and below dine for free, while senior citizens aged 60 and above enjoy 50% off.

Raya Bersama Nana: A Joyful Aidilfitri Celebration
As Ramadan draws to a close, Raya Bersama Nana Dinner Buffet will be held at Serena Brasserie on 20 and 21 March 2026, also from 6:30pm to 10:30pm. The special celebration marks Aidilfitri with a vibrant feast featuring centrepieces such as Afghan Whole Lamb, alongside live stations serving Penang Char Koay Teow and Mee Rebus.
Guests can also enjoy Middle Eastern favourites such as Lebanese Chicken Shawarma, complemented by an expansive seafood spread and a lively Selera Kampung selection. The evening concludes with an indulgent dessert spread including traditional kuih Raya, ABC, cendol, hot desserts and tropical fruits. Pricing remains RM288 nett per adult and RM178 nett per child, with the same complimentary dining and senior discounts.
