Potato Head unveils Collection 004 – The Seeds of Life, a continuation of its evolving merchandise line shaped by nature, culture, and regenerative design.

Collection 004 begins in the soil.

The Seeds of Life takes inspiration from natural cycles of growth and renewal, expressed through materials and processes that are intentionally low-impact and grounded in tradition. Fabrics are crafted from organic and bio-based fibres, while colour is developed using natural dyes derived from mangrove bark, jolawe nuts, and tunjung, an iron-rich water long used in Indonesian textile practices. These natural processes take time, allowing each piece to develop its own character, shaped by nature rather than standardisation.

The motifs come from Aksara Bali and the Javanese Parang pattern, two of the archipelago’s oldest visual languages, reinterpreted for today. The “Seeds of Life” symbol appears as an embroidered signature across the collection. Together, these elements honour Indonesian heritage while allowing it to evolve in a modern context.

Under the direction of Lisa Yamai, Chief Product Officer and former President and Creative Director of Snow Peak, the collection spans printed tees, shirts, shorts, beachwear, and seasonal outerwear, balancing everyday wearability with artisanal detail. Produced in collaboration with local makers, each piece reflects a commitment to craft, supporting regional communities while preserving traditional techniques.

Expanding its commitment to celebrating local culture, the campaign also features French-Indonesian model and actress Mariana Renata alongside Indonesian model and artist Viknes Waren, reflecting a perspective that is both rooted in Indonesia and connected to a wider global community.

The Seeds of Life collection is now available at Desa Potato Head and online at Shop Potato Head — inviting wearers to experience a collection where culture, craft, and conscious design come together.
