The legend has returned, and Malaysia is answering the call.
Following the overwhelming response to the cast reveal on programme Meletop and the official announcement that tickets are now on sale, excitement for the long-awaited return of Puteri Gunung Ledang The Musical has swept across social media, with audiences eagerly securing their seats for what promises to be one of the country’s biggest theatrical events of the year.
Produced by Enfiniti and presented by the Jeffrey Cheah Performing Arts Centre (JCPAC), Sunway Square as their grand opening production, the spectacular new production will run from 31 October to 15 November 2026, bringing one of Malaysia’s most beloved stage musicals to a new generation while welcoming back audiences who first fell in love with the legendary production two decades ago.
The 2026 cast features an exciting blend of established stars and outstanding new talent, led by Aisha Retno and Mila Mohsin as Puteri Gunung Ledang and Aqasha as Hang Tuah, alongside a stellar company of performers including Mimi Fly, Nadia Aqilah, Luqman Hafidz and Yusof Hashim, bringing this timeless story of love, sacrifice and destiny to life.

Demand has been immediate, with enquiries pouring in across Threads, Instagram, TikTok and JCPAC’s ticketing hotline, while companies have already begun reserving corporate performances and group bookings ahead of the public season.
The production has been quietly taking shape for months. Earlier this year, the cast underwent an intensive 10-day Javanese Cultural Immersion Workshop, deepening their understanding of the world, customs and traditions that inspired the story. Since then, the creative and technical teams have been working behind the scenes on new staging, music, costumes, visual eDects and theatrical magic that will define this new production.
Full-scale rehearsals officially begin on 17 August, marking the next major chapter in the journey towards opening night.
“This is an incredibly emotional moment for me,” said Tiara Jacquelina, Co-Executive Producer and Director of Puteri Gunung Ledang The Musical.
“It has been eight years since Enfiniti last staged a musical, OlaBola The Musical, and I had forgotten just how exciting this period is—the anticipation, the conversations, and the wonderful feeling of seeing audiences counting down to opening night.
Reading all the comments on Threads, Instagram and TikTok has been overwhelming in the best possible way. Our phones have barely stopped ringing, and we’re already receiving enquiries from companies looking to book corporate performances.
Since our cast completed their Javanese cultural immersion earlier this year, our creative and technical teams have been immersed in pre-production, refining every detail—from the music and choreography to the sets, costumes and special effects.
Now, with rehearsals beginning on 17 August, the real magic begins.
My entire team and I are absolutely determined to create a production that audiences will remember for the rest of their lives.”
Tickets are now on sale, with an exclusive 72-hour priority booking window for AFFIN cardholders beginning 8pm on 18 August, before public ticket sales open on 21 August.
Audiences are encouraged to secure their seats early as demand continues to build.
