Marking another milestone in its 20th anniversary year, Rizman Ruzaini presented its Fall/Winter 25/26 Demi Couture Collection, titled RIMBA, at Dubai Fashion Week. The showcase reaffirms the Malaysian maison’s place on the global stage, unveiling a collection that is as much a love letter to nature as it is to fashion.

RIMBA draws its spirit from the biodiversity of Southeast Asia’s rainforests, some of the oldest in the world and home to extraordinary flora and fauna that connect the region. From the dense canopies of Malaysia’s Taman Negara to the wild habitats of Indonesia, Thailand and beyond, the rainforest is a shared heritage — a living ecosystem that unites nations through its richness, resilience, and wonder.

The collection translates this natural poetry into couture: the serenity of flora, the vitality of fauna, and the untamed beauty of the Malayan tiger, the collection’s central motif.

“RIMBA is our tribute to Southeast Asia’s natural heritage — a way of carrying the rainforest’s beauty, strength, and poetry into the world of couture,” said Rizman Nordin and Ruzaini Jamil, co-founders of Rizman Ruzaini. “Through this collection, we celebrate the diversity that connects our region, and remind audiences that fashion, like nature, is about evolution, balance, and timeless wonder.”

The collection’s colour story draws from the ecosystem itself — deep greens, rich blacks, earthy neutrals, and flashes of bold hues inspired by the crowned pitta, hornbill, rafflesia flower, and jungle canopies. Fabrics mirror natural textures: chiffon prints echoing forest panoramas, embossed embroidery reminiscent of bark, and velvet embellished with beading that reflects the light like dew.

The highlight remains the Malayan tiger motif, interpreted through embroidery, printwork, and patterning, symbolising resilience and strength. Alongside, silhouettes balance fluidity and structure — eveningwear that embodies the interplay of delicacy and power found in the rainforest itself.

“With RIMBA, Rizman Ruzaini proves once again that Southeast Asia has a voice and vision that belongs on the global stage,” said Linda Anggrea, CEO of Modinity Group, the maison’s regional strategic partner. “This collection is not only couture; it is culture — a reminder that our region can create fashion of depth, sophistication and international relevance.”

The show at Dubai Fashion Week underscores the maison’s expansion into the Middle East, following its newly opened flagship at Shangri-La Kuala Lumpur, with further international growth on the horizon.
