Alila Bangsar Kuala Lumpur unveils the Alila Afternoon Tea, a thoughtfully curated afternoon ritual designed to awaken the senses and invite moments of calm above the city.
Available every Friday to Sunday from 2PM to 5PM at Le Comptoir, the experience reimagines the traditional afternoon tea through the lens of contemporary Southeast Asian luxury. The goal is to create a space where guests think of Alila Bangsar when seeking a luxurious yet tranquil setting to slow down, reconnect and share meaningful moments.

The journey begins with savoury creations including the Truffle Shroom Tart, Crab Brioche and Smoked Duck Croquette before unfolding into refined sweets such as the Alila Signature Ondeh Cake, a refined interpretation of the beloved local dessert, layered with fragrant pandan and gula melaka, alongside the Kaya Mille Feuille, featuring crisp buttery pastry with house-made Kaya cream, the Japanese Black Sesame Cheesecake, offering rich nutty depth with a velvety finish, before ending on a bright, citrusy note with the Mango Pistachio Tart.



“The Alila Afternoon Tea experience is thoughtfully balanced between savoury and sweet where each course is designed to feel light and refined, inviting guests to savour every moment with ease without overwhelming the palate.” said Nancy Cheh, General Manager of Alila Bangsar.
“Our savoury creations are inspired by familiar flavours guests know and love but recreated through a more refined approach. Our team also placed great attention on the presentation to create a memorable first impression and enhance the overall sensory experience,” said Chef Syahir, who leads the savoury selections.
“For the sweet items, we focused on delicate textures and balanced profiles that simply taste good without being overly rich. The Alila Afternoon Tea ends with the Mango Pistachio Tart, something sweet and citrusy to gently cleanse the palate so thatour guests leave the experience feeling light and satisfied.” said Chef Jason, who leads the pastry selections.
Set within the tranquil surrounds of Alila Bangsar, the experience embraces intimate luxury through minimalist presentation, warm hospitality and a serene atmosphere above the rhythm of Kuala Lumpur. More than an afternoon tea, the Alila Afternoon Tea is a celebration of slow conversations, meaningful moments and intentional pauses within the city.
