Balloons at the Palace returns to Jumeirah Al Qasr for a second season, inviting guests to drift into a world of timeless wonder. Beginning on October 17, four majestic balloons will welcome between two to six guests each on an intimate dining voyage, imbued with the remarkable essence of Arabian travellers roaming along the spice-laden routes of history.
This season, celebrating its triumphant one-year anniversary, the iconic experience is reimagined as ‘Tales of the Arabian Skies‘. Inspired by the timeless spirit of ancient wanderers and the beauty of Arabian artistry, this concept evokes the elegance, curiosity, and cultural richness of those timeless voyages. Gracefully positioned on a stunning terrace, each balloon is designed to evoke the feeling of a ‘floating majlis’ – unique, intimate setting for gathering, storytelling, and culinary discovery. From this elevated vantage point, guests can enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of the Gulf, the iconic Jumeirah Burj Al Arab, and the glittering Dubai skyline. Every flavour echoes distant lands and every moment is a story written among the stars.
This season introduces an exciting addition with ‘Breakfast in the Clouds’. Available from 09:00 to 11:00, every Friday and Saturday, this delightful offering invites guests to awaken their senses with light, fresh flavours, including Cheese & Zaatar Manakish and Shakshuka.
Following this, the award-winning ‘Afternoon Tea in the Sky‘ is served daily from 13:00 to 15:00 and 15:30 to 17:30. This afternoon tea experience tells ‘A Tale of Two Traditions‘ — the refinement of British afternoon tea culture, with delicate Smoked Salmon sandwiches and classic scones, intertwined with the generous warmth of Arabian hospitality, featuring subtle infusions from the region, like Vanilla Mousse with Pistachio & Kunafa.
As night falls, The Spice Route Journey unfolds in two dinner seatings, 18:30 to 20:30 and 21:00 to 23:00, offering a six-course odyssey. Expect exquisite dishes such as Yellow Fin Tuna with Harissa Emulsion, succulent Roasted Prawns, and a choice of main course including Beef Tenderloin with Date Molasses Jus or Mediterranean Sea Bass with Saffron Emulsion.
With only four balloons and limited seats, each journey is as rare as it is unforgettable. Bathed in the golden light of dawn, the soft blush of afternoon, or the deep indigo of night, Balloons at the Palace offers visitors a memorable voyage to enrich the senses, and a precious moment suspended in time.
