This Ramadan, Quan’s Kitchen at Four Points by Sheraton Kuala Lumpur, Chinatown invites guests to embark on a flavorful journey through Malaysia’s rich culinary heritage with its Ramadan buffet themed ‘Destinasi Citarasa Kita’. From the northern delights of Kedah to the southern specialties of Johor, and the unique flavors of Sabah and Sarawak, the buffet promises an authentic taste of tradition under one roof.

“Our goal is to bring the flavors of Malaysia’s 14 states to one table, so every guest can experience the culinary heritage that makes our country unique,” said Chef Mohd Fahmi Samsudin, Head Chef of Four Points by Sheraton Kuala Lumpur, Chinatown. “Each dish is prepared with authentic recipes and fresh ingredients, ensuring a true taste of tradition this Ramadan.”

Destinasi Citarasa Kita: A Taste of Tradition

A celebration of heritage favorites and trending street food, each night is an adventure for the palate at our signature Ramadhan feast. Guests will be treated to an extraordinary spread featuring signature dishes from every corner of Malaysia. 

Guests will begin their culinary adventure along the West Coast, savoring Ayam Goreng Serai Berampah from Perlis, Kedah’s Gulai Raja Berangkat, Penang’s iconic Nasi Kandar and Sup Kambing Mamak, and Perak’s Rendang Tok and Telur Itik Masak Lemak Belimbing Buluh. Selangor brings the Kari Ikan Bagan Lalang, while Kuala Lumpur highlights the Nasi Ayam Mr Chua. Negeri Sembilan brings its famous Tempoyak Daun Kayu and Daging Salai Masak Lemak Cili Api, while Melaka offers the classic flavors of Ayam Pongteh and Cendol Kampung Hulu. Johor delights with its Nasi Ambeng and the rich Mee Bandung Muo

From the East Coast, guests can indulge in Pahang’s signature Gulai Patin Tempoyak, Kerabu Daging Pucuk Paku dan Pucuk Ubi Kayu and Sambal Hitam Belimbing Buluh. Terengganu is introduced with Tauhu Sumbat, Gulai Ikan Tongkol and beloved Keropok Lekor, and Kelantan’s Ayam Kerutuk and Ayam Percik Putih.

The journey concludes in East Malaysia, where guests can enjoy Sabah’s Kuih Penyaram and a refreshing spread of Borneo Seafood on Ice, alongside Sarawak’s beloved Sarawak Laksa and Umai Udang

Complementing these savory delights is a tempting array of traditional desserts, including colorful local kuih-muih, comforting bubur, and refreshing beverages at the Air Balang Chinatown section with five types of air balang, kopi tarik and teh tarik.

Live cooking stations will enhance the festive atmosphere, allowing guests to enjoy freshly prepared dishes in an ambiance inspired by traditional motifs. Take in the view of the iconic Merdeka 118 tower while enjoying seconds and thirds at our outdoor action stations, including Uncle Nizam’s Popiah Stall with Popiah Basah and Popiah Goreng, the Cendol and Air Batu Campur Stall serving local shaved ice desserts, and the Roti Jala Station offering two types of roti jala with chicken curry and pandan kaya. 

To complement the dining experience, guests will enjoy a warm and festive ambiance with a ghazal band which will be performing daily, creating the perfect setting for gatherings with family and friends during the holy month.
