Popular actor Mierul Aiman has voiced his support for the growing movement encouraging Malaysians to buy locally made products, which has recently gained traction on social media.

According to Mierul, whose full name is Mohammad Amirul Aiman Norazman, 28, locally manufactured products are now on par with international offerings, and he is a consumer of Malaysian-made products himself.

“The quality of local products is now on par with international products. I personally use a lot of locally made products.

“I’m happy to see more people opening their eyes to and supporting local products, especially among the younger generation.

“I hope industries involved in the production of local goods will continue to grow and prosper,” he said when met at the recent Meet & Greet Mierul Aiman x Dr. Cardin event.

The nominee for Most Promising Actor at the 35th Malaysian Film Festival added that Malaysians should not feel embarrassed about using locally made products.

“I’ve personally fallen in love with local products. Recently, I was involved in a project with the Dr. Cardin brand. We travelled to Dabong, Kelantan, to take part in adventure activities, which were filmed and turned into a documentary.

“During our two days there, I wore shoes and carried a bag from the brand, and I can say that the quality was excellent. Despite taking part in various adventurous activities, such as going into waterfalls, climbing hills and exploring caves, the products I used held up well,” he shared.

Asked which product he liked most during the road trip to Dabong, Mierul said he was particularly fond of the Pillow Bag, describing it as highly practical.

“I took part in various adventure activities in Dabong while carrying the bag. It was very comfortable, and the magnetic closure was really strong. It never came undone.

“The inside of the bag is also spacious and has plenty of compartments. I can fit many items in it, including my phone, power bank and other essentials,” he shared.

Besides Mierul, seven other influencers and content creators also took part in The Explorer Road Trip to Dabong. They were Zakuan, Ain Ramli, Zahirah Merantau Dunia, Maliababy, Sya Azhar, Fikri Zamri and Faraa Deluna.

The group spent two days in Dabong, taking part in adventurous activities while wearing Dr. Cardin’s latest collection, specially designed for travellers and those who enjoy outdoor adventures.

The documentary, The Explorer Trip to Dabong, Kelantan, is available to watch on Dr. Cardin’s official YouTube channel and across the brand’s official social media accounts.
