The exclusive preview of WarnaRaya X KLCC RAYA RUNWAY 2027 (WarnaRaya) officially launched today at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC).

This event marks the first phase of the second edition of the massive regional fashion showcase. The three-day event will run from 22 to 24 January 2027, exactly two weeks before the start of Ramadan.

Designed as a premier Aidilfitri preparation event, WarnaRaya aims to unite creative industry players, fashion designers, local brands, and celebrity entrepreneurs from across Southeast Asia, including Singapore, Indonesia, and Brunei, under a single integrated platform.

Founder of WarnaRaya, Shariza binti Mahzlan, stated that the 2027 edition will bring a significant transformation. It shifts the event from a standard sales bazaar into a fully integrated fashion powerhouse.

The core uniqueness of this edition of WarnaRaya lies in its concept, which seamlessly pairs an exclusive runway platform with a large-scale consumer bazaar.

“For the 2027 edition, we are targeting over 90 booths or vendors and more than 50,000 visitors,” said Shariza.

“Our participants will feature a mix of prominent Malaysian fashion designers, SME entrepreneurs, and regional celebrity brands.”

WarnaRaya will occupy two distinct spaces at KLCC across its three-day run. The Main Hall will host prestigious fashion shows, while the exhibition halls will feature a massive shopping bazaar.

In addition to the main runway shows, creative entrepreneurs participating in the bazaar will get the chance to showcase their latest collections on a secondary mini-runway stage.

This provides a direct marketing platform for vendors to actively promote their newest collections to a wide audience throughout the event.

“Even more excitingly, visitors at the bazaar will stand a chance to win exclusive tickets to view the elite fashion shows held inside the main fashion runway hall,” she added.

Four Iconic Designers United as WarnaRaya Ambassadors

The launch event featured insights from four of Malaysia’s top fashion designers, who serve as the official ambassadors for WarnaRaya. All four will present their collections on the main runway stage.

1. FIZIWOO

FIZIWOO regards WarnaRaya as a strategic, international-standard one-stop hub to launch early Raya campaigns and celebrate precious family memories. The brand will debut approximately four special Ready-to-Wear (RTW) collections covering both menswear and womenswear.

The brand noted that producing an RTW Raya collection requires substantial capital and a robust marketing strategy to gain consumer confidence. Combining a professional runway with physical booth spaces under one roof makes WarnaRaya the ultimate platform to fully introduce exclusive designs to local and regional markets.

2. Rizman Ruzaini

Rizman Ruzaini highlighted the strategy of bridging the gap between designers and fashion enthusiasts by leveraging digital platforms. They will showcase a premium Ready-to-Wear collection priced between RM400 and RM500, retaining their signature exclusive DNA and boutique-level quality for local fashion enthusiasts.

They explained that massive digital engagement proves the public deeply values the touch and quality of local designers. Since every designer commands a unique DNA and fanbase, WarnaRaya serves as the perfect arena to offer diverse, premium Raya attire accessible to all customer segments.

3. Datuk Radzuan Radziwill

Datuk Radzuan Radziwill is betting on a ‘Contemporary Malay’ concept featuring his trademark exclusive prints. For WarnaRaya, his pieces are specifically engineered with high versatility, making them practical to wear year-round for weddings and formal celebrations, rather than just Syawal.

He emphasized that contemporary Malay attire strikes a harmonious balance between traditional elements and timeless modern style. The primary focus is to deliver added value to buyers, allowing each piece to be styled repeatedly for both formal events and casual gatherings.

4. Abu Shaef Hamza

Abu Shaef Hamza highlights the richness of Nusantara heritage textiles like songket and batik, which currently dominate modern fashion trends. He will fuse these traditional arts with modern color palettes to prove that shared cultural identities remain fresh and deeply relevant to today’s younger generation.

According to him, local traditional textile treasures carry immense uniqueness and prestige globally. Through the WarnaRaya platform, this bold reinterpretation of Nusantara heritage fabrics aims to breathe new life into modern Raya fashion, inspiring youth to cherish their shared cultural arts.
