Royal Sembilan unveils The Table of Nine, an intimate series of 18 private dining and high tea gatherings that brings together fashion, heritage, interiors, furniture, gastronomy and the art of hosting.
Limited to nine guests per table, including the host, The Table of Nine is deliberately intimate. There is no conventional runway, no mass audience and no single template repeated across the series.
Instead, every table is conceived as its own world.
One host. Eight guests. A bespoke environment. A carefully considered menu. And a distinct expression of Royal Sembilan.
At the heart of each gathering is a curated Royal Sembilan fashion presentation.
Two models are introduced into the dining experience, wearing selected Royal Sembilan looks curated specifically for the occasion. Rather than presenting fashion from a distant runway, the garments become part of the social experience, allowing guests to see the construction, textiles and details at close proximity.

Each table therefore tells a different story.
The host, guest composition, styling, fashion selection and presentation evolve from one gathering to the next.
Fashion is not presented to the table. It lives within it.
One of the defining principles of The Table of Nine is that no two slots are designed to feel identical.
The tableware, presentation, styling, florals and visual details are adapted for each host and guest community, creating a dining environment that is exclusive to that particular gathering.
This intentional variation is central to the Royal Sembilan philosophy.
Rather than relying on repetition to establish a recognisable luxury identity, Royal Sembilan demonstrates that a strong maison language can remain recognisable while being interpreted in multiple ways.
Exclusivity does not have to look the same every time.
The result is a subtle expression of the breadth of Royal Sembilan, a maison confident enough in its identity to be diverse in its expression, while remaining unmistakably itself.
The world of The Table of Nine extends beyond fashion.
The interiors and furniture were conceptualised and executed in-house by the Royal Sembilan team, with furniture sourced, salvaged and reimagined specifically for the series.
Rather than purchasing an entirely new set of event furniture, selected pieces were given a second life through restoration, modification and bespoke detailing.

Every piece has been considered as part of the overall visual language.
Tables, chairs, furnishings and decorative elements are not simply hired props. They are treated as design objects; adapted, refinished or reinterpreted to create an environment that feels distinctly Royal Sembilan.
This approach also reflects Royal Sembilan’s belief that luxury and sustainability need not exist as opposites.
The maison’s interpretation of luxury is not about constant consumption or disposable spectacle, but about craftsmanship, longevity, reinvention and the value of giving something beautiful another life.
The Table of Nine is ultimately about the experience of being hosted.
Every detail, from the furniture and tableware to the menu, floral styling and fashion presentation, is deliberately considered around the individual host.
For high tea, intimate tables create an environment designed for conversation and close interaction.
For dinner, the individual tables are transformed into one long dining table, creating a more formal and theatrical setting for the evening.
The culinary experience is similarly curated, with menus designed around the spirit and character of each gathering.
There is no alcohol-led entertainment and no conventional event programming. The evening is centred on food, fashion, conversation, design and company.
18 TABLES. 18 EXPRESSIONS OF ROYAL SEMBILAN.
The 18-table series brings together an eclectic cross-section of private communities, women-led organisations, corporate circles, creative personalities and invited guests.
Among the hosted tables are gatherings curated with communities such as the Malaysia Women Entrepreneurs & Corporate Council (MWECC), alongside private and community-led tables.
Each host becomes the custodian of their table, bringing together their own circle while Royal Sembilan creates the environment in which that circle meets.
The result is not one event repeated 18 times.
It is 18 interpretations of the same maison.
Among the Malaysian celebrities that have graced the event are Ning Baizura, Jaclyn Victor, Tiz Zaqyah and many more.

At its heart, The Table of Nine reflects Royal Sembilan’s philosophy of bringing Negeri Sembilan heritage into contemporary luxury.
The maison’s heritage vocabulary, artisanal craftsmanship, distinctive textiles, chinoiserie influences and considered detailing, extends beyond the garment into the physical environment.
The table becomes an extension of the fashion house.
The furniture becomes part of the story.
The tableware becomes part of the identity.
And the dining experience becomes another canvas through which Royal Sembilan expresses itself.
In an era where luxury experiences often rely on scale, The Table of Nine takes the opposite approach.
Nine seats.
One host. Eight guests.
A bespoke environment.
And a moment that exists only for those at the table.
“We wanted to create something that felt less like attending an event and more like being invited into a world. Every table is different because every host is different. The exclusivity comes from knowing that your table, your environment and your experience will not simply be replicated for the next guest.”
— Anuar Faizal, Creative Director, Royal Sembilan
The Table of Nine ultimately presents a different proposition of luxury: one rooted not in excess, but in intimacy, individuality and considered detail.
Across 18 tables, Royal Sembilan invites its guests to take their seat.
Because sometimes, the most exclusive place in the room is simply the table.
